Bugzilla 3.0 Released: Open Source Bug Tracking
Bugzilla is a popular open source bug tracking software designed to help you manage software development. Bugzilla is an example of how open source software can give competition to costly commercial bug tracking systems. The Bugzilla Project has announced the release of a new version Bugzilla 3.0 after a long 8 years after Bugzilla 2.0.
There is a long list of new features in Bugzilla 3.0. Some cool features are Custom Fields, mod_perl support for greatly-improved performance, Per-Product Permissions, XML-RPC Interface, ability to create and modify bugs by email and many more. Here are the release notes and information about upgrading from an older version.
Bugzilla@Mozilla is possibly the best known Mozilla bug-tracking database for recording bugs and enhancement requests for Firefox, Thunderbird, SeaMonkey, Camino etc. which displays the performance of Bugzilla. Download Bugzilla 3.0 and check out the new optimized database structure for increased performance and scalability.
New to Bugzilla? Use Landfill, the Bugzilla Test Server, the home of test installations for Bugzilla. These are demo installations that you can use to try out Bugzilla.
