Old Blogger Officially Closed : Enjoy the New Blogger
In a significant milestone for the Google run free blogging service Blogger, the original old Blogger is officially closed. Millions of free blogs are powered by Blogger which is possibly the simplest way to start a blog. This blog too was initially started on the old blogger before I exported it to Wordpress.
Blogger has come a long way since Google bought Blogger in Feb 2003. The New Blogger Beta launched in late 2006 and became popular with host of popular features like Labels, Privacy, RSS Feeds, and Instant Publish.
Though some issues persisted, and there was a delay in upgrading to Blogger beta, it was well worth the wait. Now all blogs are moved off old Blogger, DNS changes point www.blogger.com to the new Blogger and the old Blogger is physically dismantled.
