In a significant milestone for the popular wordpress community, the Wordpress.com free blogging service crossed one million blogs. The much awaited milestone was being speculated in several contests too.
Wordpress.com is the best blogging platform to start a free blog without the hassles of buying a domain name, get web hosting, or have any idea about FTP, PHP, MySQL etc. It is a testing platform for upcoming features in the popular Wordpress.org self hosted blog platform. And they let you migrate to self hosted wordpress with your own domain name later too.
And a wordpress party was held to celebrate their 4th Birthday, recently release Wordpress 2.2 and this milestone.

WordPress is the best platform for blogging and to get free and functioning WordPress the only way is WordPress.com so its for sure that it will cross millions! :D
