August 12th, 2007
ADVERTISEMENTS

The annual Blogday will be back on on August 31 and on this day every blogger will post a recommendation of 5 new blogs and blog readers will discover new, previously unknown blogs. As I point out this event, you can start preparing your recommendation list in advance.

Blog Day 2007

The instructions for participating in BlogDay 2007 are simple -

1. Find 5 new Blogs that you find interesting
2. Notify the 5 bloggers that you are recommending them as part of BlogDay 2007
3. Write a short description of the Blogs and place a link to the recommended Blogs
4. Post the BlogDay Post (on August 31st) and
5. Add the BlogDay tag using this link:
http://technorati.com/tag/BlogDay2007 and a link to the BlogDay web site at http://www.blogday.org

Nir Ofir initiated the blogDay in 2005 and since then it is being celebrated in the blogosphere. Who are you recommending?

Even though it’s a noble meme, it’s a bit of a stretch to say that “every” blogger will do this. :-)

  2. I think it is a great idea.

  3. Will you be participating PCHere? :)

  4. I hope so. I wish I can just remember BlogDay on that day. Must set a reminder. :-)

  5. I’m looking forward to see your list of 5 top blogs LOL ;)

Sounds like fun. I should get to work on discovering more blogs.

It would be nice to do this, but I really don’t understand it. Are we supposed to just link to five blogs? Or do they have to be some blogs we found by searching for odd things but we’ve never been to before? Do they have to be in different countries?

I think the turn out would be higher if it were clear what we’re actually supposed to do. Unless, I’m the most stupid person on the planet (which is a possibility), I assume a lot of people don’t really understand it.

  8. I understand that they can be *any 5* new Blogs that you find interesting. Just 5. Let them know also. They need not be from 5 different countries.
