WordPress 2.3 in Feature Freeze: Public Beta on Aug 27



After the recent release of Wordpress 2.2.2 Security version, and some superfast ways to upgrade, the next version of WordPress 2.3 is now in Feature Freeze and the first public beta of Wordpress 2.3 is releasing on August 27.

Ryan Boren points out that WordPress 2.3 went into feature freeze and is open for testing and bug fixing with the release of first public beta of WP 2.3 expected on August 27th. A new beta release is expected every Monday and bug hunts every Wednesday. On September 17th, WordPress 2.3 will enter a hard freeze and will release the first release candidate. The WordPress 2.3 final release on September 24 is eagerly awaited. See the calendar of events.
