FileZilla 3 Released: Free Open Source FTP Client

My favorite FTP / SFTP Client called Filezilla has undergone a major upgrade. The long awaited new version Filezilla 3.0 promises to be better and multi-platform compatible.

The main new feature of Filezilla 3.0 is the ability to run under multiple platforms like Windows, Linux, *BSD, Mac OS X and many more. The internals of FileZilla software have been streamlined and modernized, and they say FileZilla 3 has been completely rewritten from scratch during the past three and a half years.

Filezilla 2 users should note that not all features currently implemented in the old 2.x versions are supported in version 3.0. However, the good news is that FileZilla 2 and 3 can coexist on the same system, so you can check if you miss some favorite feature currently in 2.x

Also see Filezilla Project Page on SourceForge to track its development. Its a FTP software you need on your computer.
