Google Loves Space: New Google Moon Rises
September 15th, 2007You know Google loves space. They have updated and released a new version of Google Moon, one that fully eclipses its predecessor.
The Google Lat Long blog has announced the new features
This update brings higher-resolution map imagery, text search, and photos and stories from every Apollo landing. We even included Street View-style panoramas of the moon’s surface, taken by the Apollo astronauts … something you won’t see anywhere else. And last but certainly not least, we tossed in scientific charts that are good enough for actual mission planning and science classrooms alike.
Check out the new lunar exploration tool with content from NASA Ames researchers, high-resolution panoramas from every Apollo landing site, historic audio clips, surface imagery, and elevation data from the Clementine and Apollo missions.
Did you know that Google Copernicus Lunar Center hires people for a Moon Job. Google is interviewing candidates for engineering positions at our lunar hosting and research center, opening late in the spring of 2007.
