AdBrite Full Page Ad Replaces Active Interstitial Product

October 16th, 2007
ADVERTISEMENTS

Adbrite is a popular advertising service provider which easily lets advertisers place ads on your site. AdBrite has replaced its earlier Active Interstitial product with the Full Page Ad, similar to the full page advertising seen on newspapers and magazines.

Adbrite says a Full page advertisement has the following benefits -

-Co-sponsorship of the site. An intro page shows that a high-quality site is sponsored by a brand advertiser.
-Enhanced user experience. The intro page prepares the user for a full page ad to be shown.
-Guaranteed branding. User sees an advertiser’s logo for two seconds before seeing the actual ad
-Better performance tracking. Advertisers are able to the average number of seconds viewed for each ad.
-No use of site real estate. Publishers can earn incremental revenue without taking up their site’s webspace.
-Leverage existing creative. Advertiser’s ad can serve as the website, or microsites designed specifically for the Full Page Ad can be created.

I just checked the options to set up a full page ad, and they specify that a full-page ad is shown in-between the pages of your site, you can customize the header to match the web design of your site and you choose to display after 1-5 pageviews.

A new concept in advertising is starting and if big brands and big money is involved, I believe some bloggers will be willing to switch to full page ads after a reader browses a few pages.
