Corporate Bloggers Launch Blog Council
The Blog Council is a professional community of top global brands dedicated to promoting best practices in corporate blogging. It was launched recently with founding members from 12 leading companies. Established as a community for large companies’ blogs, it is a private group to share best practices and new ideas.
The top companies which participate in the Blog Council are from various business sectors: AccuQuote, Cisco Systems, The Coca-Cola Company, Dell, Gemstar-TV Guide, General Motors, Kaiser Permanente, Microsoft, Nokia, SAP, and Wells Fargo.
The aim of Blog Council is -
We will be exploring best practices, model policies, and issues specific to major companies’ blogs. We provide a community for corporate bloggers to meet each other, share ideas, and learn from each other. We will also serve as a voice for corporate blogging. Companies will be blogging, but we will do it differently than personal or small business blogs. There is no one “right way” to blog.
The Blog Council is managed by GasPedal, which is run by Andy Sernovitz, founder of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.
