2008 Bloggies: Eighth Annual Weblog Awards Open

Its time again for the 2008 Weblog Awards, which will showcase the best blogs in top categories. Nominations are open and you can suggest your favorite blog, which might win the prestigeous Bloggie!

Nominate the best blogs in 2008 Bloggies till January 11, 2008. On January 13, three panels of 50 voters will receive an e-mail with the list the of weblogs that have received the most nominations in ten categories. By January 18, they will privately submit their five favorites (six for Weblog of the Year) for each category. The five (or six for Weblog of the Year) receiving the most votes will become finalists. On January 22, the finalists will be announced and voting will be open again to choose the winners. Voting will close on January 31 and winners will be posted on March 9-11.

The Weblog Awards ceremony will be held at the South by Southwest Interactive Festival in Austin, Texas, USA. Webloggers including previous Bloggie winners will present certificates and prizes to those present.

Remember, only one nomination form and one finalist voting form may be submitted per person. A valid E-mail addresses is required to vote (they will send a validation email).
