Google SketchUp International Model Your Campus Competition



The 2008 International Model Your Campus Competition is on and you can test your modelling skills on your college campus. Simply model your school campus buildings in Google SketchUp and participate in the contest to showcase your 3-D designing skills, win some prizes and fame.

International Model Your Campus Competition is open to students at a higher education institution almost anywhere in the world, as a team or with a faculty advisor too. Google SketchUp is a powerful yet easy-to-learn 3D software tool that enables you to build and modify 3D models quickly and easily. If you use Google Earth, Google SketchUp allows you to place your models using real-world coordinates and share them with the world using the Google 3D Warehouse.

Model some or all of the buildings on your campus in SketchUp, Register your team members and create a collection in the 3D Warehouse where you will upload your campus models. Registration and submission of your models must be completed by noon PST, June 1, 2008.

Winners get an Apple iPod Touch, a Nintendo Wii Console, and a Google t-shirt and hat and a chance to be featured on the Official Google SketchUp Blog. Join the Google Competition Group to discuss with other participants and read the FAQ. Go on and create a model of your campus… show it to the world.
