5 Top Women Bloggers of Influence

There are a lot of women bloggers around the world wide web, but some women bloggers rule the blogosphere by their views and writing, influencing the blogosphere at large. On International Women’s Day, I salute these 5 women bloggers who inspired me when this blog started a few years back.

Here they are (in no particular order)…

Gina TrapaniGina Trapani
She is the founding editor of Lifehacker, which was one of the first blogs I started reading since its early days, and Gina has pushed LH to be one of the most popular blogs ever. It has a daily dose of everything from life hacks to your geeky adventures. LH was the first blog to bring us significant exposure by featuring our story. Send her a tip, and wait for the news to circulate…

Lorelle Wordpress Lorelle vanFossen
When I switched from blogger to wordpress, one blog consistently guided me through my newbie wordpress steps. Meet Lorelle on Wordpress, queen of wordpress, whose useful tips and tricks on everything Wordpress will help you become a better wordpress blogger. Also blogging on BlogHerald.

Jensense Jennifer Slegg
She blogs infrequently, but when she does, it is the most authoritative analysis of contextual text advertising on the web anywhere. Wait for Google adsense or Yahoo Publisher Network to modify a policy… and await the JenSense take on the issue. I have never been disappointed, and learnt a lot about the finer clauses.

Liz StraussLiz Strauss
She is successfully blogging on the Successful blog and recognizing SOB’s (Successful and Outstanding Bloggers). Possibly the most influential relational blogger, by recognizing good content, she has a fan following of SOB’s. She gave me my first SOB award, when this blog was taking its early stumbling steps and inspired me to be worthy of it.

Emily Chang Emily Chang
You just need to keep track of eHub to know whats happening around web 2.0. For years, its continues as an amazing Web 2.0 resource regularly updated with the latest buzz. eHub was one of the first sites to feature our tool collections. Follow ehub and you will never miss a new tool or service.

I know there are hundreds of wonderful women bloggers out there and many more influence us now. This is my personal list of 5 women bloggers who have influenced us in early years when this blog started. Post a comment about women bloggers that have influenced your blog?

    Hi!
What a great way to start the day — to find you’ve short listed me in this fabulous group! I know that we all do what we do with so much thought and heart.

Thank you for the love. You’ve always been an outstanding blogger. I hope to meet you on day to tell you so.

I hope this list is not ordered in descending order of best-worst. Primarily because they are extraordinary, hardworking women.

You might want to add Wendy @ emomsathome too - another great add.

It has been so wonderful to watch your growth. You are to be honored, too, but we have to find the right date for you. :D

In the early days, you were all over the map, but writing great content. It’s been so fascinating and inspiring to watch you grow into your content and really turn out consistent quality content that serves so many in the blogging world. Thank you!

Sumesh - they are listed in no particular order, all are equally great. Please note that this list enlists those women that “influenced us in early years when this blog started” 3 years ago and continue to guide us.

Wendy is a superb addition, but I did not know her then, and she is a definite add to another list that I am planning.
