Google Friend Connect Adds Social Features to Websites
May 13th, 2008Google Friend Connect is a new Google service that lets you grow site traffic by easily adding social features to your website and more people engaged more deeply with your site. Wouldn’t you like to bring along friends from social networks like Facebook to interact on your site!
The best part is just copy and paste snippets of code into your site, and Google Friend Connect does the rest. You can now see, invite, and interact with new friends or friends from social sites on the web like Facebook, Google Talk, hi5, LinkedIn, orkut, Plaxo etc. and be able to do things together. I wonder how many small websites will want to be associated with the large behemoths like Myspace and Facebook. Would I want Friend Connect on my site – only to facilitate my users finding new sites to visit?
