Smart Workplace Awards for Indian Offices

The Economic Times with Acer & Intel are hosting the Smart Workplace Awards with the objective of creating a national level competition for offices in India.

So what are Smart offices – Which make life easy for employees and customers, empowers employees and increases their ability to stay connected through use of technology. The Awards are targeted at organisations across major Indian cities – Delhi (NCR), Chandigarh, Mumbai, Pune and Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad and Cochin, Kolkata. Only Companies with registered establishment in India can submit entries. Entries to be restricted to a maximum of 5 divisions/offices per organization.

The entries will be judged across organization size and 6 Verticals – Financial Services (FS), Other Services (OS), Industrial Markets (IM), Consumer Markets (CM), Infrastructure (I) and Information- Communication-Entertainment (ICE). The Evaluation criteria are broadly based upon – Technology infrastructure, Security & Mobility, Office infrastructure and Employee engagement.

They say the most important component of the application is a 200 words note describing why your organization should be selected for the ‘Smart Workplace Award’. Last day for entries is 25 May 2008.
