Buy Apple Mac for College, Get Free iPod
June 3rd, 2008 | Filed under Apple, Computers, Deals, Gadgets.Apple has launched the Back to School promo wherein if you’re a student, faculty, or staff member of higher education institutions and you buy a Apple Mac computer before September 15, you can get a free iPod touch or iPod nano!

First you shop for a Mac computer at the Apple Online Store, Apple Retail Store or Apple Authorized Campus Store. Then buy an iPod touch or iPod nano with your Mac and qualify for a maximum rebate of up to $299. So a 8GB iPod Nano (costs $199) or a 8GB iPod Touch (costs $299) will become effectively free.
After you receive your Mac and iPod, use the Apple rebate tool by October 15. The Apple education discount lasts from June 3, 2008 till September 15, 2008, while supplies last, and is eligible for a maximum rebate up to $299. Mac mini, 17” iMac, Apple TV, iPhone, iPod shuffle, iPod classic, 4GB iPod nano, and refurbished products are not eligible.
Faculty and staff of higher education institutions and students attending or accepted into a higher education institution are eligible. Any employee of a public or private K–12 institution or Qualified Homeschoolers in the United States or District of Columbia are eligible. Read the Terms and conditions (.pdf) for more details.
