Set Guinness World Record on Firefox 3 Download Day

The Spread Firefox community wants to set a new Guinness World Record for most software downloaded in 24 hours by clocking the maximum Firefox 3 downloads on Download Day, which is yet to be announced.

Firefox fans are pledging throughout the world, and they are tracking it on a world map. They are nearing 600,000 pledges soon and the US still has the maximum pledgers. Register for a Mozilla Party Central account, and sign up to host or attend a party on the Download day.

Firefox 3 Release Candidates are already available for download and the final release is expected by month end. Firefox recently crossed 500 million downloads and the Spread Firefox community has been very active in propagating Firefox 3 web browser with events like T-shirt design contests, as Mozilla continues to build up the support base.

    Here’s a fun new FF extension: polarrose.com - picks out faces ( ! ) on pages and if you know the face, you can identify it for their database !!!
    It’s beta, but pretty smooth so far!
