Apple Sells 1 Million iPhones in 3 Days!

Its a record of sorts and the hype and buzz developed around the iPhone has paid off with Apple selling 1 million iPhones across the world in just 3 days. If you consider that it took 74 days to sell the first one million original iPhones, selling 1 million iPhone 3G in 3 days is clearly indicative of the huge demand.

The Apple iPhone 3G launched on Friday, July 11 on the weekend and is now available in 21 countries—Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK and the US. Apple iPhone is coming to India on Vodafone and Airtel and Vodafone has already started pre-registration of Apple iPhone in India.

It is also notable that iPhone and iPod touch users have already downloaded more than 10 million applications from the new App Store since its launch. Developers have created a wide array of innovative mobile applications that users can wirelessly download applications and start using immediately. More than 800 native applications are available on the App Store, with over 200 free and more than 90 percent priced at less than $10.
