This happen to me and after doing some basic research and soon noticing that only two resellers besides apple ALL selling this item for 29 USDs (plus shopping) was going to be a HUGE kill to me. What a waste you say! It broke off like nothing too! And the broken part remained in the plug, however, crazy enough i took it out with my hands -_- bad idea when i think about it now. Apple needs to make their products more effective and safer these days, seriously. However, good customer service on the free replacement! :o) Thanks a lot! It broke off like nothing too! And the broken part remained in the plug, however, crazy enough i took it out with my hands -_- bad idea when i think about it now.

However, i will try to order a replacement. This post also reminded me that i have to upgrade the software through itunes as there are few patches to be applied.
