No Google Adsense Christmas Gifts This Year!
Google Adsense might not be sending out Christmas gifts to its top Adsense publishers this year. Its dissapointing, but it seems the global recession and job layoffs are taking their toll on festivities this year.
As impatient Adsense publishers searched the forums looking for Adsense gifts, Amit spotted AdsenseAdvisor, an official Google Adsense representative who remarked in the Webmaster World Forums that
We really appreciate the work you all put into building great sites. However, we feel that gift-giving is not the most appropriate gesture this year given the current global economic climate. I know you may be disappointed, but I hope you can understand our efforts to be fiscally responsible in these times.
As the discussion continues, I am sure publishers will be disappointed. It was a nice year-end gesture from Google and surely it didn’t cost a fortune since they sent it out only to a select few Adsense publishers only. Google sends out nice gifts every year in last few years they sent out some Google branded USB memory cards and digital picture frames.

Hmm..it was like an official statement on that forum, but still some blogs have reported that they have received some gifts!

Not sending gifts to top publishers does seem quite a drastic step. Surely Google is not that short of funds. Maybe the list has just got a bit shorter this year?
Last year I got a Google blanket :) Had no idea that much better gifts were been given out, well, at least in the past, it’s a shame because I got really excited when I got that gift.
That really breaks my heart. My Granddaughter,my 15 year old son,nor any of my Grandkids will get any presents. We do have a tree up,along with several decorations. You should have to explain to these kids how there is nothing. It’s terrible.
Right now we are in a recession/depression,with nothing but cheap paying jobs,,it’s a struggle just to keep up with monthly utilities and food.
I can see why Google isn’t sending out any gifts. You should be on the other side of the fence.
