Lifehacker Lead Editor: Gina Trapani to Adam Pash
January 5th, 2009Lifehacker is one of the most widely read blogs in the blogosphere and the new year brings a change in guard wherein lead editor Gina Trapani hands over charge to Adam Pash.
Mr. Adam Pash will take over as lead editor of Lifehacker on January 16th. After a wild and woolly four years at the helm, I’m stepping down from the site lead position to work on Some New Stuff on a day-to-day basis in 2009. To be clear, my decision has nothing to do with the big bad economy or any kind of scandalous company blow-up—it’s just time for me to move onto new projects. It’s tough letting go of something I love so dearly, but it’s easier knowing it will be in very capable hands. No one knows the ins and outs of this site and its community as well as Adam, who’s been posting away at my side for over three years now.
I have been a long time Lifehacker reader and it was amazing to see the rise and rise of Lifehacker under Gina Trapani’s leadership during the last 4 years. Lifehacker now gets around 800,000 unique visitors everyday!
Gina Trapani is a tech writer and web developer based in San Diego, California. You can find her on her official website at GinaTrapani.org, or catch her scribbling on Scribbling.net or keep following her on twitter at @ginatrapani. See what Wall Street Journal has to say about her. We listed her in the top 5 most influential women bloggers. She has authored the book Upgrade Your Life: The Lifehacker Guide to Working Smarter, Faster, Better. I hope we see her amazing projects soon.
Adam Pash is a freelance writer, programmer, and web developer based in Los Angeles, California. I have been hooked to his weekly feature called Hack Attack. He is also co-author of the book How to Do Everything with Your iPhone. Adam Pash is a promising choice as lead editor of Lifehacker. With Associate Editor Kevin Purdy and weekend editor Jason Fitzpatrick by his side, we will surely see Lifehacker rise further in 2009.
