perhaps it is the older articles in the archive. Having 2000 articles as oppose to 200 will surely makes a difference.

Most of my friends gave up after 3 months, i guess one of the reason being the lack of passion. They’re too mesmerize with making money out of blogging and has absolutely no love for writing, designing the layout or surfing the internet.

Yeah this is completely true, blog age is an important factor to become successful in search engines like Google which has to be careful what blog or website will rank. I used to ask the same question why traffic is low but after doing some researches I found that everything takes time even being born takes 9 month.
