I've been using the WP-Db-Backup to mail daily/weekly backups to my gmail account, great free insurance, which I hopefully never have to fall back to :) Quite many ran into problems with the WP 2.8 upgrade and too many didn't have backups, which is just silly as it is so easy (and free) to get backups in order.
