What about using bigger than we need and we set up preview 150 X 150 and our visitor can click for bigger.

You can take it to another level and store that image in a separate directory named by the keywords….e.g. /widescreen-wallpaper/widescreen-wallpaper.jpg , its extra work…but works..

Beware of WP Smush it if you blog with windows live writer. It triggers an error.

you can still follow the options that are not related to WordPress plugins, like not scaling images in HTML and a few other ones.
BTW, this should be a good reason for you to switch to WordPress ;)
