Strange Countdown Counter on Google

Have you spotted the strange countdown counter on the Google homepage? So you don’t see it? Just press the “I’m Feeling Lucky” button without any query and behold!

So what do you think this counter is about? Any guesses? Well actually it is the countdown in seconds to the new year! Its  a Google easter egg!
