I have the same problem!! My blog is maintained by myself only..Is there any other google service where we can submit blog that only single author is maintaining…accept feeds..

I think a news blog should have two or more authors otherwise that blog wouldn’t get updates on real time basis.

I am a publisher on Google News, and yes they require multi-author blogs. As you mentioned, multiple authors usually post much more news than single author blogs and also more real time news, however, I am not sure why exactly they have it, but yes they have this criteria in place for a long time.

I guess the whole point is to catch you off guard. If you knew earlier, you would probably select more than 1 author… right?

As far as I remember they had it mentioned somewhere in the help. These requirements are completely documented and you are supposed to have specific pages with information on all contributing editors. The permalinks also need to have a specific structure to be included in Google News Index.

Too bad that single author blogs can not participate.
