This is great advice but it is worth mentioning that Google has demoted site like Ezine with it’s Farmer/Panda update. As such these articles are not as valuable as they once were, but there are other article sites that are still worthy.

Yes Ezine Articles are very useful for getting traffic to your website. I have only been doing articles for one month and already have gained more visitors to my site.
