This video was part of his Bachelor thesis at the University of Applied science and Art, Hannover. The secret behind this video is MatchMoving work, a visual-effects technique that allows the insertion of computer graphics into live-action footage with correct position, scale, orientation, and motion relative to the photographed objects in the shot.
Its a long video, but you can skip to different parts quickly and see Mario Bros. speeding across the road and side walk, under trees and shadows too. Isn’t it amazing?
