Hi,
I was trying to configure your theme for my blog. But pluggins are not working after loading the same in FTP folders, Could you please suggest some possible reasons?
@sandeep – Remove the topbar div tags from the header.php and the black navigation bar can be removed.
@Josh – Edit sidebar.php in Design in wordpress admin to change the author info.
@George – Some plugins require specific codes to be inserted in the template. Some plugins can do this automatically, while others require you to manually add them to the template. The plugin author will have necessary instructions.
Great simple theme! How do I add a horizontal nav bar to display categories directly under the header?
Awesome! thank you!

Hi,
Great theme. I apprecaite the quality of the theme, which is the as premium themes.
I want to add comments option in Pages. At this the time the theme only displays comments option in Posts.
Please explain in baby steps as I am novice.
Thanks a ton.
Great theme. I just installed it on my new blog: http://www.reversemortgageblog.info and would like to put an image I have in the header rather than just have the blue background. Is there an easy way to do this?
Thanks much for the theme. Of all that I have tried I think this is the cleanest and most versatile.
Hey, I got it! Just took a little head scratching. I commented out the box at the top of the 2 columns for now but intend to put a video up there – or an opt-in box.
Thanks much for an easy to use, easy to hack theme!

Could you please provide baby steps for installing Quickpress? I followed all instructions-there was no option to unzip in hosting area. It does appear as an incomplete install in wordpress with an error message that it is missing the stylesheet.
Thank you.
@mrinmay – the topbar is gone in the latest version.
@George – Widget order can be arranged from the widget admin panels at Design> Widgets
@Susan – the sidebar works fine for me.
@borris – the latest version has comments on pages.
@sarpras – it is a SEO optimized theme to increase your traffic and therefore money too.
@brenda – you need to unzip on your own computer using unzipping software like winzip or 7-zip, then upload to your server.
Howdy- I’m going nuts trying to get our logo in the top blue header area. The instructions aren’t clear to us novice’s. Help, please.
Hi,
We installed your theme for our corporate blog. When we access the home page from IE its not getting displayed properly but works fine in Firefox. At the same time if i access a particular post directly, it works fine both in IE and Firefox.
Have a look at http://www.travelgoogy.com/blog/ and
http://www.travelgoogy.com/blog/?p=12 from IE to see the problem.
What will the problem ? I changed the AdBox image to a new in sidebar.php, thats the only change i made… could you help me to fix this issue ?
Looking forward a prompt response.
Thanks…Jose J
Jose – It seems by mistake you edited some code out. You can download it again and reinstall the theme.
John – You can replace the text in header.php where your title text shows with img src=”" and put in the link to your image.
Nevermind… i found the problem ! it was the bad html formating in my latest blog post which was causing the entire home page to be broken. Just fixed it… it works like a charm…
thanks !
your theme donot work in the wp 2.1 . i got this error Fatal error: Call to undefined function register_sidebar() in C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\work\wp-content\themes\quickpress\functions.php on line 9
can u tall me whats problem.
mahfuz – The older wordpress versions did not support dynamic widget sidebars without plugins, so it will not work there. Anyway you need to upgrade your wordpress ASAP to the latest version for your own blog security.
On one of my sites I changed the line in archive.php to to minimize duplicate content on the site. But I would like to show more than just a few words when the category is clicked – maybe 15 – 20. Is there a way to change this?
That didn’t work very well! the line I changed read in part – php the_content – and I changed it to php the_excerpt. (I didn’t realize php code in this comment box would not show!)
As stated so many times, a lovely site. Thanks. I, too, am having IE issues. I’ve reloaded and still have no sidebar. I’m using IE 7.0.5730 on XP Professional. Firefox works fine.
Thanks for any suggestions.
Never mind! Discovered a post about three posts ago had been hacked with some crazy code. Problem solved.
Thanks!
A great theme. But being a novice i find it impossible to understand how to place the logo. I have seen all the previous posts regarding the same and have tried but doesn’t work. Can you give a more clear idea – how the code looks before the logo and after the logo?
@BRAD: First of all, Thanks to this theme author for his great job. Yes, your theme make me confidence enough that I can start a news blog with WP. To BRAD: I have visited your gaming site: http://www.exgamer.net with this theme customize in your way. I am wandering if I can get the widget on your site called “Popular Tags”.
Thanks
Bauani
I am thinking about creating a website with your WP theme.
Can I create a static homepage with QuickPress?
On a 3-column template can I move the navigation to the left column, put the content in the center and ads on the right?
If so, how…in baby steps?!!
@jake – You can easily get a static homepage from wordpress admin settings. The kind of 3 columns you suggest would require a lot of code change to QuickPress. Its better to try some theme which already has sidebars like you want.
Hi,
Nice theme! I’d like to change the larger text in the header because it repeats itself in the page template. If you go to my homepage, you’ll see what I mean. I went to header.php in the theme editor but still couldn’t find what I needed to change. I’m not very knowledgable about css so if you could tell me step by step, I sure would appreciate it.
Thanks,
Eunice
@Eunice – In style.css you need to change attributes of .blogtitle
