New Google Social Search [Video]

Now Google Social Search is taking a giant step forward, enabling you to get more information from your friends, whether they’re publishing on YouTube, Flickr or their own blog or website.

Google social search results will now be mixed throughout your results based on their relevance (in the past they only appeared at the bottom). Google Social Search is more comprehensive by adding notes for links people have shared on Twitter and other sites.

Check the video of how this works.

Remember you only get social search results when you are logged in to your Google Account. Check it live right now on on in English only.

That’s quite impressive. Google has been increasingly described as “anti-social” especially when compared to Facebook! But this social search is definitely a huge leap in the right direction.
I love the simplicity and the user friendless and the fact that you only need to hover over your contact to know your exact social link to them. It’s also great that social are mixed within the ordinary search results based on relevance. Way to go Google!
