These were the 15 actors we found with genuine accounts in January 2010 (in no particular order):

Shah Rukh Khan

Shahid Kapoor

Farhan Akhtar (tweeting at the time from his film account for Karthik Calling Karthik)

Vivek Oberoi

Akshay Kumar

Riteish Deshmukh

Uday Chopra

Anupam Kher

Dino Morea

Abhishek Bachchan

Fardeen Khan

Imran Khan

R. Before you follow, check these signs:

Links from the star: the safest check is a link to the X profile from the actor’s official website, Instagram profile or production house.

Handle and history: official accounts usually have a long posting history and a join date going back years. Brand-new accounts with big claims are a warning sign.

Followers and replies: real stars have large followings and are mentioned by other verified film industry accounts.

Checkmark: a checkmark helps, but on X it can now also come from a paid subscription, so do not rely on it alone.

Follow all your favourite stars with an X List

Instead of following dozens of accounts in your main feed, you can create an X List, add your favourite Bollywood actors to it, and open the list whenever you want to catch up on film news.
