For years, parked domains earned money from Google ads with almost no effort. AdSense for domains<\/strong> (AFD) let registrars and big domain portfolio owners show targeted ads and related searches on parked domain pages. When we covered it in 2006, you needed about 750,000 page views a month to qualify. In 2025 Google effectively shut it down. Here’s what happened and what domain owners can do now.<\/p>\n

Quick answer:<\/strong> AdSense for domains is effectively gone. In February 2025 Google announced it would opt all advertisers out of showing ads on parked domains, and the final purge in September 2025 cut parking revenue to a small fraction. Individual publishers can’t put AdSense on a parked page either, because AdSense requires a site with real content. Domain owners now build small content sites, sell or lease domains, or use other parking feeds that pay far less.<\/p>\n
