Google Adsense is an excellent contextual advertsing program. You have seen characteristic “Ads by Goooooooogle”<\/strong> around the text link ads which display the fact that these ads are being presented by Google. Clicking on this link<\/strong> takes you to a page where you can give feedback about the ads you saw, report a policy violation, and learn more about Google Adsense and Google Adwords.<\/p>\n

I usually insert adsense ads beneath the title. Today I saw a large 336×280 image ad of a beautiful girl on my site, with no “Ads by Google” link<\/strong> or url link and in fact nothing to suggest that it was a Google Adsense advertisement. It looked like this image was added to the post and it was not an advertisement at all.<\/p>\n

What site did the image link to?<\/strong> I did not click on the ad to avoid violation the adsense terms of service (remember the 15 adsense mistakes<\/a>). There was no url link beneath it to suggest any url too. I am sure it would have got a higher click through rate…<\/p>\n

I am sure this is part of a secret experiment being conducted by Adsense guys. Anyone else notice such Google Adsense ads without “Ads by Google”<\/strong>?<\/p>\n
