This increased referral revenue is sure to switch referral links from Firefox and Google Pack to Google Adsense and Adwords referrals&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Speculation was abuzz about these changing referral incomes, so they decided to <a href=\"https:\/\/adsense.googleblog.com\/2007\/02\/new-pricing-structure-for-referrals.html\" rel=\"noopener\">announce the official word<\/a> on this.<\/p>\n<p>For <strong>AdSense Referrals<\/strong>, when your referral earns their first $5 within 180 days, you will be credited with $5. If he earns $100 within 180 days, you will be credited an additional $250. Now here is the bonus &#8211; In any 180 day period, you refer 25 publishers who each earn more than $100 within 180 days, you will be awarded a <strong>$2,000 bonus<\/strong> (limited to 1 per year).<\/p>\n<p>Similarly for <strong>AdWords Referrals<\/strong> &#8211; when your referral spends $5 within 90 days (in addition to the $5 sign-up fee) you will be credited with $5. He spends $100 within 90 days, you will be credited with an additional $40. If, in any 180 day period, you refer 20 advertisers who each spend more than $100 within 90 days, you will be awarded a <strong>$600 bonus<\/strong> (limited to 1 per year).<\/p>\n<p>Another amazing part of this deal is that these rules will also<strong> apply restrospectively<\/strong> to users that you have already referred. So if you were using Adsense referral unit before, you might suddenly start seeing new payouts coming through in your account.<\/p>\n<p>The $2000 bonus (and $5 per referral &#8211; easy to achieve) is sufficient to motivate the widespread usage of Google Adsense referral logos and banners in the blogosphere. I am already seeing this happenning.<\/p>\n<p>Did anyone notice that they have started 2 new links in the Referral code generation screens called &#8220;Sign up with Adsense&#8221; and &#8220;Sign up with Adwords&#8221;.
