Google has clarified that these emails have not been issued by Google.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seroundtable.com\/archives\/013438.html\" rel=\"noopener\">Search Engine Roundtable<\/a> points to a discussion at WebmasterWorld thread where he as well as others have been receiving &#8220;Google Search Quality Team&#8221; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seroundtable.com\/archives\/013438.html#comment-331158\" rel=\"noopener\">emails warning of bans<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/webmasters.googleblog.com\/2007\/05\/about-those-fake-penalty-notification.html\" rel=\"noopener\">Google has clarified<\/a> that these emails are not related to any of Google&#8217;s efforts concerning <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mattcutts.com\/blog\/webmaster-communication\/\" rel=\"noopener\">webmaster notification<\/a> and they have <strong>temporarily discontinued<\/strong> sending such emails till they provide more secure communication mechanisms. They further clarify that 301 redirects (mentioned in those emails) are not a violation of Google Webmaster Guidelines.<\/p>\n<h3>How to identify a true Google email?<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The sender email has an @google.com address<\/li>\n<li>Google emails never include an attachment.<\/li>\n<li>They direct the webmaster to a re-inclusion request form<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Google drives huge search engine traffic to websites and such warning emails can really make webmasters anxious. Follow the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/webmasters\/bin\/answer.py?answer=35769\" rel=\"noopener\">webmaster guidelines<\/a> always and you have no reason to worry.
