If you are a compulsive firefox user, you may many times encounter an Internet explorer only site (which does not work correctly in firefox) – What do you do?

IE View is a simple Mozilla Firefox extension (for Microsoft Windows systems), which allows the current page or a selected link to be opened in Internet Explorer.

IE View adds menu items to the page context menu, and the link context menu. Right-clicking a link now includes an “Open link target in IE” menu item. Right-clicking elsewhere in the main body of the page gives “View this page in IE.”

You can also add sites to an “always-view-in-IE” list. These sites, when reached in Firefox, will automatically reopen in Internet Explorer.

With growing Firefox popularity, Internet explorer only sites are getting rare – yet I encounter such sites daily and this extension seems a good idea.

I also use it sometimes to have a look at how some sites display differently in IE and firefox (especially when I change my blog template and want to see it display correctly in both web browsers). If I really need to use IE – a cool IE-based feature filled tabbed browser I often use is the Avant Browser.
