Google sends you to Mr.doob&#8217;s Google Gravity demo, where the whole Google homepage falls to the bottom of the screen. You can also <a href=\"https:\/\/mrdoob.com\/projects\/chromeexperiments\/google-gravity\/\" rel=\"noopener\">open the demo directly<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>It is not a feature of the real Google homepage, and it is not hidden in Google&#8217;s settings. It is a JavaScript experiment that copies the look of the homepage, and Google&#8217;s redirect simply points you to it. If you use the I&#8217;m Feeling Lucky steps above, Google redirects you to this same page, because it is the top result for the search.<\/p>\n<p>If the pieces do not fall, the tab may be in the background. Bring it to the front and reload the page, because many browsers pause animations in tabs you are not looking at.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"How_does_Google_Gravity_work\"><\/span>How does Google Gravity work?<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Google Gravity is built with JavaScript and a physics engine. The page loads the Google homepage elements as separate objects, applies gravity to them, and lets them collide with each other and the edges of the window. Because it is just code, many developers have made their own versions and hosted them on their own websites. None of these is the real Google homepage, so the real google.com does not have a Gravity mode.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Google_Gravity_variations\"><\/span>Google Gravity variations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Mr.doob also made a zero-gravity version, <a href=\"https:\/\/mrdoob.com\/projects\/chromeexperiments\/google-space\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Space<\/a>, where the elements <strong>float about like in space<\/strong>. Elgoog has a <a href=\"https:\/\/elgoog.im\/underwater\/\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Underwater<\/a> page, where the Google homepage elements float underwater. It is a restoration of an old Google April Fools&#8217; prank, hosted by Elgoog, which is a fan site and not affiliated with Google.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Google_Gravity_FAQ\"><\/span>Google Gravity FAQ<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Is Google Gravity real?<\/strong> Yes, but it is a demo made by Mr.doob, not a feature on the Google homepage. Google&#8217;s I&#8217;m Feeling Lucky button just takes you to it.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why is the Google Gravity trick not working for me?<\/strong> Click I&#8217;m Feeling Lucky, not the search button, and do not choose a suggestion from the drop-down. If it still does not work, open the demo link directly, keep the tab in the foreground, and reload.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Is Google Gravity safe?<\/strong> The Mr.doob demo is a harmless page that only animates itself. Be careful with copies of it on other websites, since you cannot be sure who runs them.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Funny_Google_Doodles\"><\/span>Funny Google Doodles<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Google frequently posts interactive <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickonlinetips.com\/archives\/2014\/06\/google-displays-special-doodle-on-your-birthday\/\">Google doodles<\/a> on its homepage, like the very popular <a href=\"https:\/\/www.quickonlinetips.com\/archives\/2015\/04\/play-pac-man-in-google-maps\/\">Google Pacman game<\/a> and many others from time to time.
