Google has just released the Google +1 button which webmasters can add to their site / blog and enable visitors to give a recommendation to Google and your friends about your site.

The buttons are available in 4 sizes and the url is grabbed from the rel=canonical META tag in your header. You can customize the code at the +1 site. Google +1 has been tested widely on Google search results, which you might have already noticed if you have tried the Google experimental search earlier.

This video will explain how adding the +1 button can make your articles go viral across the web as people vote the +1 button. Google also intends to use these votes in its search engine rankings as a social influence factor.

    I don’t think this button is going to create a craze as fb like or share button have. I’m not going to use in any of my site. Lets see what others think.

      Hi patten. I am quit disagree with your comment. Facebook there are less chance of losing fans coz of google plus. Facebook is diverse social media platform on universe which is the choice of all business man and teens.

    I’ve just put it in on my blog posts (the small one goes along well with my other share buttons). I’m not pushing it as hard as Facebook’s like though (bigger button)

    I hope Google one day takes Facebook Like as one of the important things to be considered during searches

    Following Blogger’s announcement, the +1 button didn’t appear on Senior Speaks! and when I added both parts of the script, it appeared twice. If the button hasn’t appeared on their blogs, Blogger users should add the top part of the script to the header of their blog’s HTML template.
