WordPress Plugin Competition 2009

Weblog Tools Collection is back with the WordPress Plugin Competition 2009 and welcomes WP plugin developers to test their skills and develop some amazing plugins which can be useful to the WordPress community.

Remember some important rules that plugins must be
* GPL compatible
* Compatible with WordPress 2.7 and above
* Be secure and use secure coding methods.
* Made available through the WordPress Extend pages
* Must be officially submitted through email
* Announced and discussed on the Plugin Competition Blog.
* Preliminary support has to be provided to the public.

Every year the Weblog Tools WordPress Plugin Competition churns out some amazing plugins. Check out the 2008 winners – WP Comment Remix, Manageable, WP Easy Uploader, Prelovac; and the 2007 winners – OneClick, MyDashboard, WordPress Automatic Upgrade, Who Sees Ads. The new WordPress versions try to incorporate some of these as core features.

The competition is on for 3 months and ends 31 July. Past winners will be disappointed as they are not eligible for this competition. Did I mention there are lots of prizes to be won too, and all the extra publicity for you, your WordPress skills and your site if your plugin wins.
