Blogtipping Day : Compliment Three Bloggers

Easton Ellsworth over at Business Blogwire declared 1 May as a Blogtipping day. And he proposes that the first Monday of each month can be Blogtipping Day.

It’s simple: just pick three bloggers you know and give each one three compliments and one tip. To see how it is done - Easton shows some examples here and here.

And the blogtipping concept caught on in the Blogosphere, with Successful blog, Blogher, and Small Office Herald joining blogtipping amongst many others. I caught on late, but who did you blogtip?

Hey QOT (that’s your initials, Quick Online Tips :)), thanks for mentioning me. Looking at this optimistically, you’re not late to the blogtipping tradition; you’re actually three weeks early! That’s right: I’ve decided to hold a Blogtipping Day on the first calendar day of each month (a bit easier to remember than the first Monday).

I’m looking forward to June 1st to do some more blogtipping. The principle I hope bloggers apply from this is to generously reach out from time to time and compliment others while giving them constructive feedback. I don’t know how many will really get the reference to cowtipping, but I thought it was a fun little way to name a fun thing to do.
