Explore the Sky with Google Earth
Google Earth combines the power of Google Search with satellite imagery, maps, terrain and 3D buildings… and now you can explore the sky too using this mapping software. With about a hundred million stars and two hundred million galaxies, Sky in Google Earth lets you explore the heavens…
Google launched Sky in Google Earth that lets you view and navigate through 100 million individual stars and 200 million galaxies. High resolution imagery and informative overlays offer a creative learning about space. Google is introducing seven informative layers that illustrate various celestial bodies and events.
Sky was created by Google’s Pittsburgh engineering team by stitching together imagery from numerous scientific third parties. The initiative was the outcome of the University of Washington’s participation in the Google Visiting Faculty Program.
Download the latest version of Google Earth and explore the sky.

Like i said, Google sky is appearing like a big fuss and overhyped application from Google
thanks for sharing..i will download the software for sure…
That looks like a really great idea. Someone should honestly do this – do a full satellite imagery thing of space with cool pics of galaxies etc, allowing you to zoom in or see different angles of galaxies as different photos have been made. It might be quite an excellent product. I’m sure Google has thought of it, and this is definitely proving my suspicions correct. I think it’s a great idea, keen to see if they can perfect it.
