Flickr is a huge photo sharing community and now Apple iPhone 3G is the most popular camera on Flickr used by Flickr photographers, beating Canon cameras who were long time leaders.
If you check out the Camera Finder page on Flickr, you realize that Apple iPhone 3G is by far the most popular camera to snap photos on Flickr. Remember Canon Cameras have been clear winner since 2006 and 2008 when we reviewed this list.
These graphs show the number of Flickr members who have uploaded at least one photo or video with a particular camera on a given day over the last year. Since Flickr automatically detects the camera used to take the photo 2/3rds of the time, cameraphones are often under-represented, and yet the iPhone tops the list.
Canon makes popular cameras that have topped the charts for a long time like the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XSi and the Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi. Nikon also features 2 top camera models – Nikon D80 and the Nikon D90 Digital SLR Camera.
