Gmail Mobile: Read Email on Mobile Phones

Google launched Gmail Mobile that lets you access your Gmail messages from the web browser on your mobile phone or device.

Just point your mobile phone’s web browser to http://m.gmail.com. Your Gmail account stays synched, whether you access it from the web or the mobile interface of your cell phone. Gmail Mobile should work on most web enabled mobile phones and devices that have a wireless data plan. First check if your phone works with Gmail Mobile. Gmail Mobile is currently available in English only. You can access attachments, including photos, Microsoft Word documents, and .pdf files. It also lets you reply by call to people whose phone numbers are in your Gmail Contacts list

Google doesn’t charge you to access your Gmail account from a mobile phone, but depending on your mobile phone service plan, you may be charged by your wireless provider for accessing the Internet from your mobile phone. Logging in to your Gmail account from the cellular phone interface is the same as logging in from your computer. Try it out on your mobile phone web browser today. More info at the Help Center.
