The New Apple iPhone 3G has been released and promises to be faster, cheaper and much superior to the earlier version. The iPhone 3G is priced at $199 (8GB model) and $299 (16GB model) in US and will soon be available 22 countries from July 11, 2008 (Not India).

However, Vodafone has started its publicity campaign to be the first to grab potential iphone customers in India by allowing them to preregister iphones and get the word out to them as soon as it is available. Visit the pre-registration page to get started. Note the fine print – “Currently compatible only with 2G networks. Only select features and services are currently available in India.” hmmm….

You can also Pre-register your iPhone 3G now – simply sms IPHONE to 56789. The iPhone promises to change the way you use a mobile phone.
