How to Add Google +1 Button to Your Site
Google has just released the Google +1 button which webmasters can add to their site / blog and enable visitors to give a recommendation to Google and your friends about your site.

The buttons are available in 4 sizes and the url is grabbed from the rel=canonical META tag in your header. You can customize the code at the +1 site. Google +1 has been tested widely on Google search results, which you might have already noticed if you have tried the Google experimental search earlier.

Once the +1 button is placed on your site how long does it take for data to start coming in which you can then review through your Webmaster Tools?
I definitely think a Google+ button must have at least a positive effect on your website in terms of position on Google. Possibly in future could be a ranking factor for Google although not a main one. I do question the numbers of these type of button. I recently used AddThis on my site and there a range of buttons I dont recognise or have been used.
Nice thing.. its change the Search Result Queries.. Everyone has to implement it..

I wonder if it also has a dislike feature which is frequently abused for example on YouTube. I understand that any rating counts for more than no rating but rating with the intention to do harm rather than good to someone is pathetic.
We will try to get as much as +1 we can because we know the benefit of it with seo prespective (and soon we will see many people started to sell +1 as well) but a normal user do not know about it and where facebook like button is one step ahead from it.
Google +1 button is going to expand as more and more people start using it. Google rewards the site when then button is pressed as it is like a scoring system.
Now as a site owner you get rewarded when visitors press your Google +1 button but what about the visitor?
Now wouldn’t it be good if you could reward and encourage the visitor to click your button?
Well you can if you are using a wordpress site and know where to look for it. Just down a plug-in that can reward and redirect to an affiliate product if you wish.
Now I would call that a win win situation, wouldn’t you?

I’ve tried to add it to my blog without success, but I’ll try Senior’s approach.
What I wanted was to add it in a way to show up under each of my blog articles, if that’s possible. Just like the other share buttons that I have.
Would be good if it integrates to Google places/maps as well, showing users the +1 along side the reviews !
I’m adding +1 button now. I’m hoping this will work, do wonders to my sites, and attract more traffic from the search engine especially Google.

Just added this button to our pages but seems there is some auto padding / margin on the right of the counter.
It is worth a try. I’ve noticed you can undo your +1 by reclicking. :)

Following Blogger’s announcement, the +1 button didn’t appear on Senior Speaks! and when I added both parts of the script, it appeared twice. If the button hasn’t appeared on their blogs, Blogger users should add the top part of the script to the header of their blog’s HTML template.
Added this button..Gonna try this for a while ! If it works then :-)

I’ve just put it in on my blog posts (the small one goes along well with my other share buttons). I’m not pushing it as hard as Facebook’s like though (bigger button)
I hope Google one day takes Facebook Like as one of the important things to be considered during searches
I don’t think this button is going to create a craze as fb like or share button have. I’m not going to use in any of my site. Lets see what others think.
I also think that It will be not become popular as face book but It will recommend user about our site
You never know. After Buzz, Google is trying to get a good alternative for Facebook likes.

Hi patten. I am quit disagree with your comment. Facebook there are less chance of losing fans coz of google plus. Facebook is diverse social media platform on universe which is the choice of all business man and teens.
