How to Display Your Blog on Reuters for Free!

June 27th, 2008
ADVERTISEMENTS

Is it possible to display your article on Reuters? Unbelievable but possible. There are several news syndication services that can place your blog headlines and content on the top mainstream media sites for free. See how our domain management article is displayed on Reuters.

Reuter Headlines

This miracle is courtesy of BlogBurst blog syndication network, that  places the best blogs on mainstream media sites like Reuters, USA Today, Fox News, Houston Chronicle, Gannet, etc…

I had joined the BlogBurst blog syndication network a long time back, but since they required full text feeds and we published partial feeds only, it didn’t work for us. After we switched to full feeds, we re-enabled our account with full feeds and now I can spot our articles on several mainstream media sites. You too can join Blogburst and get featured on top media sites.

Does that drive huge traffic? Though the headline views can run into several thousands (which is great!), the actual post views and clickthroughs are very poor. This is unlike direct BBC coverage, which is still driving traffic, but nonetheless its great for blog branding.

Thanks for the heads up, Blogburst defintiely looks like a great place to get more traffic for content. But that only drills down to how good your content is anyways.

  3. Michael says:

This looks like a cool way to (if not gain traffic) then gain exposure of you and your blog.

Hey blogburst is invitation only. :-(
Could you please invite me buddy?

    Thanks in advance,
    -Rahul :-)

  5. Well traffic or not it’s still pretty cool, and especially for promotion.

You did not mention backlink? Is it a do-follow? Count as any weight?

    Thanks for the great info

  6. Rahul – you need to apply via that link to join, if they like your site, they will invite you.

  7. I’m on BlogBurst and have had a few articles on Reuters, but you’re right – the view and click rate sucks. Hard. Still worth it of course, as long as you have a high-quality, frequently updated blog.

  10. That’s a great way to get your site noticed. Very informative, but is it only for blogs. If you have informative content on your website, will they also publish articles?
