Pragati : The Hindi Web Browser

Hindi is a popular Indian language, and If browsing in English is not your style, then try Pragati, a hindi web browser. Pragati is based on the fast, reliable Firefox Browser and is enhanced with features to assist the native Hindi user to surf the web.

Some of the notable features of Pragati are a complete Hindi interface and the inline built-in English-Hindi Dictionary (available when you click on a particular word on a webpage). The TouchScreen feature lets it be operated by touch on Touchscreens. You can easily toggle between fullscreen and normal mode, use the Pie Menu for maximum space utilisation by web-pages and also type in Hindi using the virtual onscreen Hindi English Keyboard for entering form data.

I am sure Hindi web users will find Pragati an interesting option to their daily surfing. Pragati is developed as part of the BharateeyaOO.o project, an initiative to bring OpenOffice.org to India in Indian languages.
