Dell XPS One All-in-One Computer Challenges Apple iMac

Announcing the launch, Dell says the XPS One will initially be available to customers in Japan and the United States only.

Cool features of Dell XPS One

  • The 20″ widescreen edge-to-edge monitor is amazing.
  • Motion-sensing multimedia buttons on the right side of the unit. If you move within a foot of the buttons, they light up for just a few seconds (you can insert into the slot-loaded DVD without turning the lights on!) before they turn back off.
  • Wireless keyboard and mouse utilize Radio Frequency (RF) technology (does not require pairing like Bluetooth), though standard Bluetooth 2.0 support is there.
  • Requires one cable only to power the system, display, speakers, and the integrated camera and microphone.
  • Loaded with Adobe Elements Studio, which is full versions of these three Adobe applications: Premiere Elements 4-For video editing, Photoshop Elements 6-For digital photo organization and editing, Soundbooth CS3-For audio editing and sound design.

This sure will challenge Apple iMac, a complete, high-performance computer with beautiful thin designs in 20- and 24-inch widescreen models, with built-in wireless, powered by Mac OS X leopard, and the new iLife 08.

That’s a bummer. The iMac equivalents of Dells cost more, not to mention that they don’t have Mac OSX. We all know that one of the most important reasons for sales of Macs is Mac OSX. Given the choice, I’d certainly go for iMacs.

PS: not in India, since they charge 30-35% more than US prices.

    Good design, who make it?

    Hello Quickonlinetips,
Along the same lines, I have a Dell XPS 1210. I adore it! Having said that 1GB for Home windows Vista is not ample. I use it for function and I want to set up extra software program and proper now the personal computer is way also sluggish. I discover myself getting to put in and then eliminate software program just to be able to have some resonable velocity. Also, it can take for at any time to get started up and shut down.
So my question is, what do I need to have to know right before I increase the added memory? I would like to at minimum have one additional GB. Even so, I would enjoy to have 4GB. Do I need to dissasemble the comp…that wouldn’t be a fantastic thought…I am technologically challenged lol.
    Many thanks in progress!
    All the Best
