A highlight of the WWDC was the Apple Store App Wall that showcases 20,000 most popular iPhone apps on a huge hyperwall created by multiple Cinema Displays, and synced with every App Store download!
Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) at the San Francisco’s Moscone Center West, greeted visitors with the 20 edge-to-edge 30-inch Apple Cinema HD Displays, each powered by a Mac Pro running Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard. It was programmed in Quartz Composer using OpenCL APIs. Every time an app was downloaded, its icon lit up. Since over 3000 apps are downloaded every minute, it was an amazing display.
