At exactly 12 PM ET, as US President Barack Obama assumed office, his official website Whitehouse.gov switched to a new design and the White House blog went live heralding a new change in leadership.

Macon Phillips, the Director of New Media for the White House announced the new site changes and informed he will be contributing to the blog articles.

One of the first changes is the White House’s new website, which will serve as a place for the President and his administration to connect with the rest of the nation and the world. Millions of Americans have powered President Obama’s journey to the White House, many taking advantage of the internet to play a role in shaping our country’s future. WhiteHouse.gov is just the beginning of the new administration’s efforts to expand and deepen this online engagement.

    Barack Obama may be a charismatic leader but somehow his economic policies are not that great in my own opinion. But still i am thankful that a Obama is the current president of the unitied states.
