Reverse Image Search Find Where a Photo Came From

This free reverse image search tool finds where a photo came from, who posted it first and where else it appears online. Upload a photo or screenshot, or paste an image link, then search it with Google Lens in one tap. It works the same on iPhone, Android and computers.

Private by design: your photo is never uploaded to QuickOnlineTips. It is resized in your browser (which also strips location and camera details) and goes only to Google Lens when you press the search button. QuickOnlineTips is not affiliated with Google.

About this tool

Quick answer: Choose or paste a photo and press Search with Google Lens. The results open in a new tab with matching and similar images and the pages that use them. For a picture already on the web, switch to Paste an image link instead.

How to do a reverse image search

  1. Add the image. Choose a photo, drag it onto the box, or copy an image and press Ctrl+V (Cmd+V on a Mac). On a phone, tap the box to pick from your gallery.
  2. Press Search with Google Lens. Your photo goes straight from your browser to Google Lens, which shows visual matches, the pages that use the image and related products.
  3. Or search by link. For a photo already on the web, use the Paste an image link tab: right-click (or long-press) the image, choose Copy image address, paste it here and press the search button.

What Google Lens finds

  • Pages that use the same image, so you can see where it was posted.
  • Visually similar images, including cropped or edited copies.
  • Objects, products, places, plants and animals in the photo, with links to learn more or shop.
  • Text in the photo, which you can copy or translate.

What you can use it for

  • Spot fake profiles and scams: check whether a dating or seller profile photo was taken from someone else.
  • Check viral pictures: see whether a news photo is old or from a different event.
  • Find the original creator so you can credit or ask permission before using an image.
  • Find a product you saw in a photo, or identify a plant, animal or landmark.
  • Find copies of your own photos used on other sites.

Reverse image search on your phone

Open this page in Safari or Chrome on your phone, tap the box and choose a photo from your gallery or files, then tap Search with Google Lens. Screenshots work too, so you can search an image from any app by taking a screenshot first.

FAQ

Is this reverse image search free?

Yes. It is free with no sign-up and no limit from us. The search engines may ask you to confirm you are not a robot if you search a lot.

Do you keep my photo?

No. Your photo is never uploaded to QuickOnlineTips. It is resized in your browser, which also removes the location and camera details, and is sent only to Google Lens when you press that button.

Why does this tool use Google Lens?

Google Lens is the only major image search that accepts a photo sent straight from another web page, so your search opens with results in one tap. Other image search sites make you upload the photo again on their own page.

Can I search a video?

Yes. Use our reverse video search, which takes a still frame from your video and searches it.
